Our story started when our inventor David Woolfson's daughter got an infection from an unclean pillow. Seeing her suffer motivated him to research cross-infection. He realised that pillows were the most critical part because they are just little mattresses for your head where you are most vulnerable. After all, that’s where you breathe, and it contacts eyes and ears, nose, and mouth—all points of infection ingress.
Dr. Duncan Bain and David Woolfson invented PneumaPure® Filter technology to stop infection transmission in healthcare setting. It is the world’s first soft surface solution that combines absolute barrier protection (clinically proven to block pathogens*, allergens, microbes, and mould) with user comfort.

PneumaPure® Filter Technology Brief
Abstract
Design of bedding products (pillows, mattresses, positioners, duvets, top mattresses etc.) has not provided an adequate barrier to internal product contamination. Thread, needle perforations, air vents, zippers etc. allow ingress of air and liquid borne pathogens. Contaminated bedding acts both as a reservoir and potential vector for infection transmission and trigger for the sleeper.
